Music Monday

It's Music Monday again, here's an illustration based on LCD Soundsystem's "Daft Punk Is Playing At My House". This week I've been working at Pick Me Up at Somerset House, it's been so much fun. I've been surrounded by SO much amazing contemporary illustration and graphic art, and met loads of lovely people. I would strongly recommend coming down!

Pick Me Up 2012

Good evening, I've just got back from Pick Me Up's private view, and I thought I would post up a few pictures from the event. Here's a picture of me above with my piece, called 'Tourist Season', which I based on my experiences of working many summers within the British tourist industry. I had a fantastic time, drank lots of lovely beer, chatted to some very nice people, and looked at lots of wonderful illustration and graphic art. I seriously didn't get time to see it all, so I would advise that if you are going to maybe get a multiple day pass, as there is SO MUCH going on. Anyway, I'm not going to review everything as there are plenty of people who are much better at doing that sort of thing. Instead, here's some photos.

Music Monday

Hello there, here's a little doodle of SebastiAn. This week I've been listening to his new song 'Love In Motion' on repeat, I love it. Sounds a bit Prince-ish. 

In other news, I've been getting ready for Pick Me Up at Somerset House, if you follow my blog then you probably know that I'm going to be working as a print assistant in the Pick Me Up Selects area. I'm also going to be exhibiting with Puck studio, it's going to be very exciting! If you are planning to attend, do come and see me!

Music Monday

Continuing with the retro vibe, it's Music Monday again! This week I'm doing the classic 'Party All The Time' by Eddie Murphy. 

This week I've been exploring London some more, I went to Shoreditch on Friday and bought a load of  stuff at Lik + Neon, including a zine by the wonderful Hattie Stewart and a beautiful notebook by Lucille Clerc. I also  FINALLY bought Wrap magazine, something that I've been meaning to do for ages. I wasn't disappointed, it's a great mag full of interesting content and beautiful illustrations, that can also be used as wrapping paper! I'm going to put them up on my wall as posters though.

Music Monday

Hello again, cannot believe it's been a week! Anyway, this Music Monday I'm illustrating the song "Whoomp! There It Is" by Tag Team. I just can't get enough 90s stuff at the moment. This week I've been mainly drawing, and exploring London. I'm slowly getting settled into London life, and I'll be starting my job at Pick Me Up at Somerset House in a week or so, which is going to be SO bloody exciting, I can't wait to meet more people!
