Music Monday

HEY. It's Music Monday time! Sorry for missing one last week, I was in the middle of nowhere in Wales visiting my family who've just moved there. This week I've decided to do 'Bohemian Like You' by the Dandy Warhols. I got some new felt tip pens so I thought I'd give them a go.

While I was drawing, the design collective Two Jacks* popped in for a collaborative Music Monday art session. They're a prestigious new duo who have worked on several exciting projects such as writing the pricing boards at Lidl. 

Here you can see that Jack Manuel opted for 'Backstreet's Back' by the Backstreet Boys. He wanted to highlight the fact that he wrote 'OMG' which is funny because when the song was released that acronym didn't even exist! LOL. I think that this deserves top marks for effort, and the little illustrations of the Backstreet Boys. 

Jack Mulligan decided to illustrate 'Call Me Maybe' by Carly Rae Jepsen. It's one of his favourite songs  and he likes to sing it all day. I think this a very expressive piece, in particular the restraint shown with 'and this is' before he completely lets go with the word 'crazy'.

Finally, I could sense a feeling of tension and resentment in the room during the creative process, so it didn't surprise me when Jack Mulligan handed me his work, with the above scrawled on the back of it. If you wanted to purchase these one-of-a-kind original artworks, the boys are selling them for £100,000.

*ok, so they're really my flatmates.
